New Marineland 125G RR tank. ?'s

Hello everyone,

I just bought a brand new Marineland 125G RR tank!!!!!!!!
I got a great deal i think, 400.00 for the tank, stand, and two overflow kits. First question, this was a good deal right? Second, i will be working on seting the tank up slowly in my garage, building a canopy and plumbing ect. The question is: Will the cold temperature affect the glass in any way. I live in chicago and we have been getting some close to zero temps. So will it be OK in my cold garage or should i move it in to the house, i would rather not, but will do if nessesary. Thanks for the help. I cant wait to get this thing going.

First, very good deal.

Second, if the temp in the garage gets really cold, I wouldn't leave it there for too long. But if it stays pretty steady and is cold, but not cold enough to freeze water, then I guess it's OK. I'd be more worried about daily dramatic swings in temp, like from 0-70 degrees everyday.

Thanks for the advice guys and gals. I was sure that that was a great deal. Just for the record the tank will not be installed in the garage, it is just going to sit there wile i get it ready. I cant wait to start working on it, i am going to documment the build and take lots of pictures this time. I think the tank should be ok in the cold since the glass is like the glass on our windows and the seals are silicon which can expand and contract. I am making sense?
