I have a 12gal AquaPod with the factory setup. However, I have taken everything out of the filter except for the sponge and a small bag of carbon to help with clarity. I have seen the Current USA
Fission Nano Skimmer a couple times. I think I would be able to place it in one of the chambers in my sump. I have a lid with built in lighting so I cannot open the lid. I think my filtration setup right now is adequate and I do a 16.6% water change every week (for those who are exact).
More to the point I dont really know what a
protein skimmer does and why I want one. I was always told they were a must have in reef care, but I have a decent nano and my livestock seems happy. The price on that skimmer is such that I would certainly be willing to try it out and I wouldnt be too upset if it was a waste.
Has anyone had a good experience or bad with this skimmer?
Will it work if I place it in one of the chambers in my sump?
If so should I place it before or after my sponge and carbon?
