Hydor ETH 300 External Heater

I would like to fit an inline Hydor ETH 300 External Heater, but the illustration states a bit confusingly 5/8 external heater, will this heater fit my piping please.

Yes.

The 300 ETH has a barb fitting designed to fit a pipe with 5/8 internal diameter. You may want to get new tubing anyway if it is old and has become hard and perminantly stretched out.
