heater size 500watts ?

i have a 250w Ebo-Jager on my 125 system seems to be doing a fine job. when selecting a heater remember that your lighting/pumps will be adding a fair amount of heat also.

Also to add to Geoffs advice, I would consider two heaters. One for backup. They are cheap and if one goes out youll be coverd. Stability is key!

ok i could see how 2 heaters would be better. i also use ebo-jager heaters but they quit making them. dont know why

Ebo's have had issues with shorting out and stuff. look at 2 X 200 watt heaters. I use gen-x titanium and crystal heaters, they keep the temperature really well.

I agree, good advice. Two heaters of smaller wattage work well, one backs up the other!
