Heater Popping

I just got a heater a few weeks ago and lately have noticed that it clicks and pops, about on pop/second, when it turns on. Is this normal heater behavior?

What heater is it (brand/model)? It could be thermal expansion, but it would cause me concern.

It's an Aqueon 150W. It didn't do it at first. I have had it for about two weeks and just noticed it a few nights ago when i couldn't fall asleep because of the clicking. I think i may unplug it and get a new one. That much electricity in a tank of water kind of worries me!!

Popping is probably bad. My heater on my FW tank clicks on and off enough that you can barely hear it, but even on really cold nights that is only a couple times an hour.

Is it clicking all of the time or only at night? If you are 100% sure it is the heater then I would definitely switch it out.

I'm 100% sure it's the heater. I hear the clicking during the day but not as much because the light is on and the heater is on less. Looks like I'm making a LFS run tomorrow! Thanks for everyone's input!
