flushing cooling coils on chiller

my chiller seems to be running correctly but not cooling the temp. had a technician look at it and was told everything ok and the problem may be clogged coils because i had no filter attached to the pump. he said once i flush the coils, it should operate normally. how do i do that? what do i use? i was told to "back flush" it, which i'm guessing means to reverse the flow of water using vinegar. does this sound right? tank is running @ 86 and i need help pronto!!

many manufacturers recommend hooking your plumbing up backwards and flushing the coils that way. Just use a bucket and tap water (though you'll want to drain the chiller after you fill it with tap water). vinegar may help, but try just back flushing it first (you can add vinegar to the bucket as it's running if you don't think the flow rate out is very good).

I also say try back flow with just water 1st and fast.If it doesn't work then I'd fill the circuit up with vinegar and let it sit for a hour or so then back flow with reg water till runs clean.
