Nice job, I always have the old man who loves doing handy work, and he has all the tools ever invented.

You asked for some pump model numbers, I can give a couple recommendations. This would be to pump water back from the sump into the display. I've used MagDrive pumps for years, and while they're not bullet-proof, they hold their own for the cost. I've had to get some warranty work done, but it's always been easy to do. For that size, something like a Mag 7 or 9 would be good. But if you really wanted to get a solid pump, consider the Eheim. Probably the 1260 would be enough, but the 1262 is a great pump. The Eheims are dead silent, and folks say it'll be the last pump you'll ever need to buy. I've got the 1262 on my skimmer and it's awesome.

I'm just throwing an extra vote in here for the T5 lighting and for the ehiem pumps. Eheims are expensive up front but run forever. The T5's are usually a little less than mh's, but i love the colors and the way the heat and light are distributed so you may not need a chiller.
