Equiptment in the canopy questions..

Oops.... Equipment, didnt mean to add the extra "T" in the title....Im just about ready to start putting the set up together. I have (2) 250w PFO Optimal Reflectors. Do I just mount them to the top of the canopy, or do I need to put something in between the reflector and the canopy? Is there any benefit in painting the inside of the canopy white? or should I just leave it black? And the last question....I hope Do the canopy fans mount in the inside or outside of the canopy?
Thanks for your help/input...

I would paint it white just to make sure you get the best reflection. yes the reflectors will mount straight to the canopy. the fans can go in or out. they look nicer on the inside.

I am new here and have been out of the hobby for a few years because my job left ZERO free time fro anything. Am am planning my return as we speak and this was my first stop back as I found this board very helpfull in the past.

My hood before I "retired" had mirrored tiles mounted to the hood with silicone caulk. The increase in light output after adding the mirrors was very noticeable and much appreciated. Just a thought.
