Question

Chiller HELP!

Hi!
I am looking for a chiller for my 55g tank. I am looking at a current 1/15 horsepower chiller for $260: link-
Current CUR02680 Prime Chiller 1/15 HP Dual Stage

I am also looking at an Aqua Euro chiller for about $280
Aqua Euro USA AC13 1/13 HP Mighty Pro Chiller

What do you think of these chillers? Any good? Price? If no go, can you recomend a good one that is priced in $200-300 range. I need a quite chiller because the tank is right next to my bed. Please help me out!
Thanks A lot!
Alex

Chiller

I have my chiller on craigslist - Michigan - Kalamazoo - Just type chiller in the search bar for the Kalamazoo site. I posted it on the 22nd. Call me, because Id rather have it go to a good home. It works excellent! Super quiet, and fully charged, with temp probe and thermostat! It is 1/5 HP .

Here's a question, what is the reason that you think you need a chiller? More often than not, tank temperature can be managed with a couple of PC fans (and cost a boatload less to run)

What is your temperatures? As long as the temp swing is 3-4* throughout the day and less than 85-86* you should not need a chiller. I keep my tank (on purpose) steady from day to day with a swing of 3* with the temps of 80-83*. The old school of though of 76-78 is way outdated and not considered fact anymore.
