building oceanariums


what do they use to build oceanariums? I'm talking on the commercial level, like tourist attraction type aquariums...

Biggest is $$$$.You just can't easyly put two peices of 10" thick lexon together with silecone and buy the stuff too!

what part are you wondering about?
displays are made in much the same way as swimming pools are, wire mesh suport and shotcrete buildup. Then they cover it in flocoat. put the acrylic viewing pane an voila!
the filtration is much the same as ours but on a larger scale. .. with huge sand filters and commercial ozonizers doing most of the work.

the whole thing, meaning what kind of material do they use for the tanks, what kind of equipment do you know is preferred, recommended... thanks for the answers
