Best UPS system???
I know I will have a UPS or a battery to 120v setup, for my sump once I get everything setup. Question is, which brand of UPS should I look into?? I have one on my gecko tanks currently(APC), do they all have the very loud annoying "beep" when power is lost?? If so, does anyone know how to bypass that??

I use a Cyberpower 1200VA on my computer, works great.
Even a 1200VA UPS will usually last for less than an hour on many tank setups, so replacing the battery with a on that has a much larger rapacity will help. Also, I think all of them beep with the loss of power; the only way it can be turned off is to physically remove or disconnect the speaker.

I was thinking that's what needed to be done, just wondered if anyone had done it.

FED-EX is "the devil " . Family works for UPS. I am required to say that. Also I've had less luck with Fed-Ex, maybe because I do have family at UPS???

on the larger APC UPS' you can with a computer and APCs controll software turn of the beep totally.
I have done this on the APC 3000 that I have running my home theatre equipment.
