i have been looking at skimmers for a while now and got an opportunity to see a coralife super skimmer working next to an asm on the same size tanks, (at my lfs) and the super skimmer seemed to be working alot better belive it or not the bubbles inside were moving faster it seemed and the collection cup was more full than the asm, think i have been sold on the super skimmers, plus i like the price tag better

the faster the bubbles are moving inside the skimmer may not be a good thing. this means the bubbles may not be able to be evacuated form the water column. you actually want the water in the reaction chamber to be moving as slow as possible.

I just got my super skimmer 120 on a 75, just put in the water and salt mix and tested the skimmer and it's picking out a good amount of skimmate, pretty impressed and disgusted at how dirty tap water is here.

I would go with the ASM....easier to use, just plug it in and adjust the riser
NOW the coralife is a decent skimmer but it is cheap and can break easy and can also be a bit of a PITA to dial in

Is the Nautilus not an option? I have read some good things about it also.
