Anyone heard of this

It is a 30g integreated tank with a skimmer and built in wet/dry made by Shin Mao??? I friend asked me and I have never heard of it and my prelim search found nothing yet he is sure of the name and claims the LFS told him it is a really efficient system. I have my doubts but have learned to keep an open mind.

Anyone know this product.

there are a couple of integrated reef system floating around. most are not powerfull enough for a true reef. the skimmers are way to small. the filtering also takes up to much room.

a web site with the tank would help though.

I have been doing some research to get into the hobby. The specialized aquarium store by me (not a pet store) set one up in their show room with lr, ls 1 clown and an anenome. They also have a aquapod on the floor not filled and a biocube in the box.

They highly recommend the shin mao tank as compared to the other. I too can't find anything on them so I am still on the fence. The only complaint that they had was that the protein skimmer pushed too many bubbles into it. They currently don't have it on. It does look nice and comes with the stand. They also said the filter and lighting is better than the biocube which I was leaning towards.

This is the only thing I found:

I am looking to dive in in december (limit the hit to my own wallet), an y suggestions? should I go with their recommendation?

Welcome to TRT, jgiordano!!

looking at the site, that skimmer looks a bit better than the other built in ones i have seen. still can not get a bead on the size of it though without a look at the back of the tank.
