I have not reached a good philosophy with
bubble algae(or cynobacteria) yet. So far it has not covered any of my corals yet(knock on wood), and they have both(corals and bacteria/algae that is) been around for a long time. My understanding is that invertebrates eat some of this stuff while they are young. I am especially fond of cyno bacteria since it has been around for 3.5 billion years and it is considered to be the evolutionary link between algae and bacteria( if you are to believe such things). I put a mixture of snails in and they have cleaned one side of the aquarium completely of this problems, so I do not know if I want to do any rock scrubbin or glass scrubbin. My philosophy to date is everything in moderation, that is unless it is on the front of the aquarium. So far so good. I am considering the purchase of a sea fan and do have adequite circulation but am worried for the very reason that it might get "slimed" or "bubbled".
Thanks everyone for the complements!
