Newbie needs fish advice

I am brand new to saltwater tanks (already posted my specs in the tank sectio) and need some advice.

I would like to add some new fish to the tank I just got from a friend. I've done alot of reading and I see so much contradiction on what fish will get along with each other. So I was hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Here is what is currently in the tank.
Domino Damsell, Valentini Toby Puffer, Coral Beauty Angel,Tomato Clown, Powder Blue Tang, Cleaner shrimp, (4)Turbo snails, Some sort of aneome with pink tips, Torch Coral, Fox Coral, (5) Green mushrooms and a bunch of live rocks

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

How big is the tank and what kind of skimmer do you have. the tank looks like it is stocked pretty well right now.

Couple of air stones hooked up to a Whisper 20-60

you are already stocked.

the problem fish you have right now are the damsel and the tang. the tang should be kept in a tank that is at least 6' in length. they need lots of swimming room. the damsel will just get meaner and meaner as it gets older.

the airstones should also be removed. they will increase the biofilm on the top of the tank making gas exchange difficult. air bubbles in salt water trap organic material. this is how a protein skimmer works. the difference is that the protein skimmer immediately removes the organics. the airstones allow it to build up on the top of the tank.

are you sure you have a protein skimmer? i think you only have a cannister filter. i really suggest you look into getting a skimmer and removing the cannister filter. this also goes for the AquaClear. these tend to degrade your water quality instead of helping it.

unfortunately keeping SW is totally different than keeping FW. all of the rules are different. it takes a while to figure out what is needed and what is not.

most people now only have protein skimmers on thier systems. me included. my 125g tank only uses a Protein Skimmer for mechanical filtration. honestly nothing else. this is very common now.
