Is my fish tank done cycling?

I have a 29 gallon saltwater fish only tank which has been up and running for 25 days now. I have 2 damsels in there. Amonia reading is 0. The Nitrite reading is .2. The nitrate reading is ro 40ppm. Ive read that at the end of the cycle you will have a algea bloom and on sand there is some green stuff growing. I have not done a water change just been adding RO water when evaperation occurs. Im just wondering when I should do a water change and if I can take out damsels and put in what I really want?? All suggestions would really help at this point thanks!!

If you have not done a water change for 25 days then my suggestion would be to do so....I would not change your fish until you nitrates and nitrites are at zero.

I would go ahead and do water changes in the neighb orhood of 10 percent per week. Many people advise against it but I di it. There are so many variables in how people cycle their tanks its un-calculatable. What it boils down to is if your ammonia and nitrites are zero and your nitrates are growing its prolly cycled.

I wouldn't put anything else(I wouldn't have any fish in yet) tile the nitrites are 0,then do a water change and I'd still wait a couple weeks.

i think you should wait a week or so more to avoid any nitrite spikes.
