FOWLR Compatibility question

Hey guys,

Papa on the forums here, my grandfather, has his 125g system running with some fish in it. He wants to stick mainly with Butterflies, a few choice tangs, and maybe one large Angel. (any thoughts for him on species would be nice too)

He asked me a question tonight I couldn't answer though.

Since he is only using T5 lighting are there any mushrooms or polyps he can successfully keep? He doesn't want a lot of coral but he wants a few mushrooms just to fill in some rock and add some color.

Any advice? Thanks

I'm no expert on big tanks but I think that any angel and mushrooms is always a roll of the dice.

That's probably fine since he only wants cheap mushrooms. If an Angel eats them....it's a nice treat lol. He had his eyes on some basic purple and green mushrooms, some ricordia, and a few different polyps.

Well he decided he wants some butterflies and big Angels down the road...not going to waste the money on pretty treats for them lol
