does anyone add elements to their tank to help promote coralline alge in fish only aqariums?

most do not. without knowing what is in the suppliments they can really mess up your water chemistry. coralline takes a bit to get going, usually several months. just keeping track of your Ca and alk levels are enough to get it going.

yes i am only doing 7 gallons every 2 weeks but i got a great protien skimmer that sucks out a lot of scum
