Damsel with cloudy eye

Tank stats:

No corals
4 damsels
10 small hermits
10 misc snails

Did a partial water change a few days ago due to high nitrates...noticed today that the domino damsel has a cloudy eye. I am thinking stress. I took his original hiding place ( and algae attracting fake shipwreck) out Sunday and rearranged things. I found him on the towel I set the ship on. This, after painstakingly and slowly removing said ship to protect the little guy. I also added two small power heads yesterday.

I have not checked the water stats but will shortly. Suggestions? I should also add that he looks pale and has since before he moved here a month ago (his previous owner was ill and he and his tank mates were not getting the care they needed).

He might have ick. We have delt with that before you can give him a copper bath or put some copper in your tank. thats what we did you just want to be careful because the copper can kill your snails

A single eye being cloudy or popped out is typically the result of an injury. If it was due to water conditions or an illness, both eyes would be affected.

Do not put any copper in your tank if you ever plan on keeping any corals or invertebrates in it again.
