clown trigger and lion feedback

currently have a 55gal hex aquarium which i belive to be completely cycled, i have 4 damsels in there now. i would like to get a clown trigger and either an antennae or radiata lion, wondering if they could get along(lol with eachother not with the damsels), which one i should get first, what size fish i should get? just lookin for some feedback. (currently my lfs has a 3"clown trigger, and a 2"antennae)
if the clown would be too much i like the humu humus, nigers, and pink tail triggers too. looking forward to the carnage that will befall on the damsels lol

Not a good mix,

The clown trigger will turn on the lion fish sooner or later. I have even seen large angels have a go at lions.

55G is way too small for a clown trigger. You will need a lot larger tank (sooner than later).

always thought of a lionfish as a somewhat tough fish,(with venomous spines and all) what would u suggest as a companion? either of the other triggers i stated above?

btw the first damsel went mia approx 5hrs after i put him in there lol (beats tryin to net them). And i got a kick out of watchin him let my banded shrimp clean him, didnt expect that

you will need to get a bigger tank fairly soon. that radiata will grow faster than you think. i fed our antenata ghost shrimp and small fresh grocery shrimp. it took several months to convince it to eat prepared foods from just live foods.

any fish that starts to outgrow my tank will give me a reason to get a bigger one and thats just what ill do, but in the meantime will a lion and a trigger get along? or if not what type of fish could be a tankmate for him?( i only plan on one more fish, two at the most). It probly wouldnt make a differance but i found out my 55 hex is actually a 65 hex when i was shopping around to see what it might be worth(tank was inherited).I also have a diy 15 gallon sump that is still under construction, but should be up and running within a couple weeks

the trigger will need to be added last to have any chance of keeping anything else in there.

what is the maximum size tank you would want to get eventually? it is kinda hard to suggest fish that will fit in a 65 hex and still grow with the lion and the trigger.

i currently only have a 2.5" radiata lion, im asking if he could live relatively in peace with a trigger or not. id like to get a trigger but not if it would result in my lion getting beatup or the trigger getting eaten. if not, what would my other options for a tankmate be? as far as how big of a tank ill get in the future id say 120min180max, somewhere in there.

it really depends on the trigger. there are several triggers that will do fine with the radiata. those that are considered reef safe, those in the Xanthichthys Genus are a good bet. those in the Balista Genus are very difficult to find tankmates for.

well i think i changed my mind on the triggers, had a leak in my smaller tank so i had to put my clown and coral beauty in there with the lion. theyre all getting along so ill just keep it at that
