blue throat trigger

just got a nice one he is about 6 inches, can someone tell me about the temperment of these fish. how well do they get along with other fish ? what about other triggers? i may have made a mistake i have a huma huma and when i added the blue throat they were fine but now that the BT has gotten adjusted he is starting to show some aggression. will they settel down or am i going to have to remove one? They are in a 150 gal the huma huma is about 4 inches.

the BT is just trying to get a leg up on the Hum Huma. the HH is a far meaner fish. they should settle down a bit, but having more than one trigger in a tank, they will always need be watched. they are not overly fond of one another.

I had a blue throat pair aside to another male. Well, you may not want to try this but IMO they are jentle fun loving fishies. However they do need alot of space and rock to swim and hide. Once they become acustomed to eachother they will swim, which mines really emjoyed hanging out in the strong current, so provide that. Not really aggresive but will bite really bad when threatened or space is invaded.

I have a BT and a Niger in a 90 gallon tank and they never fight with each other . If anything my Niger is alot more aggressive then the BT who likes to go after my fingers when there near the glass lol . He also loves to move my rocks around which is very annoying . I've had 2 BT and neither of them have been aggressive problem one of the more passive triggers I've seen not to say there isn't some mean ones out there

Just to mention what I have had at one point, 2 blue throats, a Niger, a clown, a v-line, and a picasso al together on 1 120. And as I said before they are passive and loving fishies but too they will defend themselves!

Here is a shot of most of em at the early stages of my tank. These blue throats have spent alot of time in my reef tank as well

I'm sure mine was mean because he was kept in an overstocked 55 and I had no clue what I was doing

Thanks guys, They are doing a lot better today still some tention, a stern look here or there, but over all no problems i guess they have come to some sort of agreement. The blue throat hasent ate anything yet but im not worried he is in very good shape, nice and fat. Im sure he will start soon. He is still skitish of me when i feed but i think he will figure it out.
