I can tell you that they don't have a good record for surviving in aquariums. They are very hard to keep alive.

I tell my customers not to go there because I don't want them throwing money away.

ii purchased one about three weeks ago and i cant get it to eat consistantly any tips on how to get them to eat

Unfortunately that is the problem with them. It's very difficult to get them to eat. You can try live Brine Shrimp to get him started. Or even Ghost shrimp. If you can get him eating live foods you can wean him off to frozen later.

may be a little large. I would try some small, live foods and see how that goes. Brine being the smallest.

i would try and get some SW ghost shrimp. if you can not find them already acclimated than you can acclimate them yourself to SW. this way you can put them in the tank and the eel can eat them whenever it wants. ghost shrimp have no problems living in SW long term. i like to have them as part of my cleanup crew.
