I just got this fella. he's about a foot and a half long. In a 55gal tank with a sail fin tang. I know you can feed him shrimp but what else? Will he try to escape on me? Any good tips on keeping healthy and well would be great. thanks joey

Joey, I have a banded eel and he is very cool. I feed mine live guppys for a treat and hand feed him frozen krill. Do you have any pics?

No pics yet i just got him this morning, and he's only moved in the tank once. A little worried but i'm sure he'll get use to the tank in a couple of days. I will get some pics up here soon for you though

hard to tell exactly what type of food is best for it without a pic, but crustacean bits are always a good bit with eels.
