A couple thoughts. First, feel free to use punctuation, it makes reading your posts a lot easier. Second, you wouldnt be the first to keep a tang in a tank that small, and in many scenarios a short-lived stay will be alright. But, for every person who thinks they're upgrading in the near future, and then buy fish with that upgrade in mind, I'd bet less than 20% of them actually follow through. Because of that, I think it's much wiser to buy fish for the tank you have and not the one you want. In your case, if you've already got the fish, you'll be alright if it's under about 3-4"... any more and I'd consider getting it a new home until you've got the right size tank for it.

i have 6 tangs in my 55 and there doin good im getting ready to upgrade to a 200 soon adn i just gave my 3.5 inch yellow tang to 10 gallon reefer but it did fine i hade no problems...people run into problems with tangs when you add other tangs to your tank after one has been in the tank for a while so just add every tang your gonna get at the same time and you should have no problems

that's rather optimistic, and definitely not a sure thing. For one, adding many large fish to a tank is generally risky due to the change in bio-load. Also, as fish mature they often become more aggressive, so to say you should have no problems assumes that their behavior is static, which isnt the case.
