What's wrong w/ my Tang?

I have had this Tomini tang for almost a year and it has been very healthy. It is still eating fine (you can see it is fat), but this morning it had this white area on its' side. It's not fuzzy, it looks like an injury. Is this some type of disease? Should I do anything to treat it? Thanks for your assitance with this.
