Not really they actually contain symbotic alge in there tenticles and gain much of their food this way that is why they sit upside down on the bottom to gain as much light as they can. they will also however accept fine particulate foods. They can cause a sever sting to both your fish and you but more than likely will not eat your fish. depending on your setup however they donot like strong flow so keep that in mind.

We had a few that we found in our "caught" tank (37 gallon). They lasted for a couple of months, probably because they weren't getting enough light in that tall of a tank with just regular fluorescents. They didn't seem to mind anyone else in the tank. They were kind of neat to watch float around...

If you haven't found this site already there is some neat stuff and some info here. Gives you an idea of how to build a jelly tank. The prices are a little off the chart for me but the pics are useful.

If I was thinking about keeping these, I would do a species tank. They have a VERY powerful sting. They can kill your fish without capturing and eating them. They are cool critters, but not suitable for the community tank.
