True Percula love?

Ok, I have 2 percs that I've had for 4 months. When I got them they were both very young and only about 3/4 of an inch big...they are just over an inch in size now and are just now showing there dark colors. They have never shown aggression toward each other or anything else until I recently added 2 hammer corals now they are always fighting with each other over the hammers. I have also noticed that my hand gets attacked by them everytime I put it in the tank. One is just slightly bigger and darker then the other and I hope that that one becomes the female and they stop with the aggression...Damsels! geesh!

My question is...what percentage would you give that they get it figured out and eventually become a mated pair?

should I let it ride?or take drastic measures? they arent really hurting one another just grabing fins and pulling on one another.

Thanks, Glock!

Pretty good chances that they'll pair up, from what I hear. They are hermaphaditic, so I imagine they are fighting over who gets to be the lady (the more dominant one becomes the female, per my understanding). Says something about us dudes, I guess.

Yolu stand a good chance of them forming a bonded pair meaning that one will become a female (the larger one) and one male but they do not always become a mated pair. The difference is the mated pair breeds and the bonded pair doesn't.

If they're not really hurting each other let it go. They'll work it out.

Bad News!

They stopped fighting and one became very submissive and recluse. Well after a month or 2 of barely eating and hiding under my brain coral...He has died. :-(

I was pretty angry...But it looks like all aggression in my tank has stoped all together and my other percula is getting very big fast and is brightly colored and active. I only have 3 fish in my 29g now... 2 blue green chromis and my clown...I am looking to add a goby soon.
