Tomini Tang

Hey Guys,

I'm looking at adding a Tomini to my tank but I just added a Regal Tang and I'm wondering if you have any insight regarding how they would get along. I think it would be ok, but the Regal is 1.5" and the Tomini is 4". Since they are not both bristletooth tangs am I ok....or should I avoid it?

there's not a ton of space if this is in the 58, but i'd be surprised if there were territory problems. My regal grew really quick, and when it got to be about 4" or so it started pestering the rest of the fish in the tank. For now, I'd say you're probably ok, but long term it may be an issue. I know the regal won't last in that size of a tank (they can grow to 12"+), but the tomini may be content if it's the only large fish. Even still, it'd be better housed in something closer to a 90 or so.
