Suggestions ona good sansifting goby

I am going to the LFS tomorrow and I have a choice between a watchman goby, diamond goby, orange spotted goby. What do you think is the hardier and better one to have? Keep in mind my last diamond jumped to his death. Is it worth trying with a new one?

Diamond goby's are great sand sifters but cover your tank somehow before you buy another. I did once have one for over a year that never tried jumping out of my tank but I think that's pretty rare. Poor guy starved to death when I rebuilt my tank and it was too clean.

I think the orange spotted is a hardier fish than the diamond. My YWG rarely sifts the sand

All of the above are good choices. Just remember some will naturally be larger then other so pick wisely.

Well I picked up a nice size watchman goby on Friday but he has yet to emerge from under the rock. I hope he comes out soon.

He will It takes time.He moves just the stuff around his cave! He's the best choise out of the 3.The other two drop the sand all over the place, making a mess and can hurt your corals and clams. The best one to clen all the sand and leave it right there is a Dart Gobby.
