Something wrong with clownfish???

Pretty new at this so not sure if i am worrying over nothing: See pic.

This is the largest of the 2 clownfish, so i am assuming the female. last thursday she started hovering in the back of the tank. she was still eating and otherwise acting ok. original reports were that she was brooding. tonite she didn't eat, instead she would peck at the food then spit it out. also, her color is fading.

couple of other tidbits: sometimes she has a string hanging out of her. (see pic). Sometimes a string of what look like small tan sausages gets caught in the power head flow. i figured if she was brooding, these were eggs that came loose.

PO4 is a little high but all other chems are within range. Should I be worried?

I have heard the "string" is due to internal parasites. I have never had this myself, so I am not sure on the treatment. Others should chime in soon.

Try adding garlic to her food. As long as she is still eating, things can improve. Here is one old thread I found. I'll keep looking to see if I can find more.

Oddly enough, I have a clownfish that has this issue today. I fed them something that they don't eat often and it must have upset here stomach. Back to their normal food.

How are yours doing?
