that's so mean... why can't they all just get along? I know that happened once a LONG time ago in a freshwater tank of mine... they were chasing each other around so fast that one missed a turn (or something... not quite sure) and actually leaped out of the tank. An act of desperation, maybe? Either way, it's not fun to find them on the floor so I feel your pain. If he was being chased though, it would probably just have been a matter of time before he got beaten to death anyway.

Sorry for your loss

One of my chromis jumped out of my tank after seeing me appear from nowhere (tank is next to stairs) After the initial surprise (for both of us), I quickly picked it up and placed it back into the tank and all was well

I had that happen with a true perc. Bought 2 of them from the LFS and they were both real small. One picked on the other for a few then they seemed fine. I was watching them and turned away for a few and looked back only one clown was there started searching and there it was carpet surfing and gasping for air. Luckily that was the only time and everything turned out ok. Hope the rest stay in your tank.
