this is my vlamingii tang . i'm not part of the tang police nor have i ever played one on t.v. but this tang no matter how small when purchased should not be in anything smaller than a 4 foot tank . these tangs grow very quickly , unlike the yellow or blue tangs .probabaly at a three to one ratio as the previously mentioned tangs . they eat anything , i bet if i threw in froot loops it would eat them ( and like them to !) . it is a very passive fish that does even care when new tank mates are introduced .
mine is not a foriger like my yellow tang , rarely do i see it pick at the rocks . by the way the siganus doliatus next to it follows it around like a puppy dog !

I have a Vlamingi in my 125. Great fish!

They male will develop a yellow spot above its eyes. Yep it's there! Hard to see in the pic. He is the larger one!
