Keep the lights off and try not to have too much movement around the tank.
Please do pass on the link... Any info would be greatly appreciated!

You may find this thread, by our own Mr.Peanut, very helpful as well.

I'm happy to report my lil clowns are doing quite well! They have no signs of ICH, and they are looking foward to returning to their home in the next few weeks. I first treated them with medication, but after reading about Hypo, I went that route. I will bring the salinity back up starting towards the end of next week, and once i get it in line with my display tank, I will move them back home!

Thanks for all the help

I am very glad to hear the treatment is working for you, and wish you the best in continuing it.

Thanks for the update.

you defeated the purpose of the drip acclimation when you followed it with a fresh water dip. this falls into do what i say not what i do, but if the fish has been in the , bag less than an hour and i think the lfs maintains their tanks i float them for about 15 minutes then release them. no drip. long times in a bag or bucket are more stressful than being placed in a reef relatively quickly. i brought home a maroon clown, red sea sailfin tang, and a royal gramma the other day and basically floated them for 10 minutes and dumped them. the clown went straight to my bubble tip, the gramma made itself at home under my big milli colony, and the sailfin fought with my kole tang for about an hour. it's been about a week and everybody is happy. the time in the bag was maybe 20 minutes total and all three fish had been in the lfs for a few weeks. easy transition. osc and percula clowns seem pretty delicate to me. the ones that make become very hardy but most i ever tried were dead within days. this is my first maroon and it was brought to the lfs by a soldier that was deploying so i knew it was tough. if you want a pair of clowns do not introduce the sirvivor into the main tank intil you have a mate. they need to go in together. every tank has ich, it only shows up when fish are stressed or have weak immune systems. good luck.

Hey Reefin Rob, this is the first time I have heard this strategy on here but something I was going to suggest on the word of my LFS. This may not be exactly the way the said it! (but i think you will get the drift)

Basically there whole motto is, to buy almost any fish and instantly release it into the aquarium. In nature rain can cause a change in salinity and depth can change the temperature. They say there is more stress to the fish while he is bouncing his head of the bag trying to get to the hiding places he can see. But since he cant get there by the time you open the bag he is very stressed. Making your water parameters more important.

Dont take my word on this but I have had a 100% success rate so far with my maroon clowns. Lastly I can imagine that this might be a good way to eliminate stress on the new fish but could mean drastic consequences if you introduce a diseased fish.
