My new adition. sargassum trigger(pic)

Monday I went to a friend LFS and he offered this sargassum trigger for $29.00. He is about 8 inchhes and a very beautiful fish. i read hear on TRT that they are reef safe and would like to know of people that have them and how they behave in there tanks. I know he has only bin in my tank one day but he seems to be very shy.

all the triggers in the Xanthichthys genus are very shy. the males are especially shy. it may take a week or two before it will come out to eat. they are reef safe.

do you soak your food in a garlic extract ?? it is a natural appetite enhancer and should make him want to eat.

wow 29 bucks ! you got a steal !
i"ve had mine for going on three weeks and its just starting to come out , but quickly hides when someone approaches the tank .
also it took over a week for it to start eating and so far the only thing it consumes with gusto is frozen krill .
