My blenny hates algae -- what gives?

Hey all,

I finally got two tenants for my 37gal FOWLR tank after waiting almost six weeks -- a bicolor blenny and a sixline wrasse. They're doing great and seem to have no issues getting settled at all -- they ate the first time I fed them -- voraciously. The quetion is, why won't this Blenny eat his vegetables. I thought Blennies were primarily herbivores and you were supposed to keep plenty of algae around. This guy goes beserk for bloodworms, but won't even go near any nori or algae-heavy frozen stuff. Nor does he seem interested in the bits of hair algae in the glass. If the wrasse and the blenny both want meat, that's cool, but for dietary/health purposes, do I need to find something green that the bicolor likes?

every fish has its own rules sometimes, and sometimes they go thru stages where they only eat algae or something else. might wanna try not feeding for a few days then see if he likes the algae then.

blennies tend to really like diatom algae. hence the lip marks on most peoples tanks that have blennies. they will however try all kinds of stuff. becarefull with crocea clams with the bi-colour though. i have one that likes to nip at my crocea only.
