I just purchased a new pearly
jawfish for my new reef tank from my LFS. He along with 2 clown gobies are the only fish in the tank. He has been in the tank for just over 2 days and has yet to build a home or eat but he was eatting at the fish store. I wanted to make sure this was normal behaviour for a new fish in the tank. I have been adding live rock to the tank so I assume his lack of activity was because of all the movement in the tank. I built him a home out of PVC pipe and he also has a barnacle availible for him to use. I currently have a 2 inch sand bed (although I am in the process of increasing this to about 3 inches) of crushed coral and small pieces of rock. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can make him less stressed and get him to eat?
