You used the net to transfer them. it won't hurt the fish. I will say one thing about lion fish, they are not always what people think they are. They are for the most part slow movers and not all that active. But still a pretty fish

Dear Luis,
Thank you for your email. The Heavy Duty Aqua Gloves should be able to deflect an accidentally brush of the spines of a Lionfish, however we would not recommend using them to handle a lionfish. If you need to transport your fish, we would recommend using a large fish trap or plastic bucket, to insure that the spines on the fish are not damaged, as well as not allowing the lionfish to test the integrity of the gloves. Thank you for choosing Drs. Foster & Smith LiveAquaria for your live aquatic needs.

sounds like a disclaimer to me so in the end it's up to you to make that decission.

If I had to take a guess I would use one of the large nets with the clear plastic liner. they are durable and the fins on the fish wouldnot get caught then transport the fish in a bucket.

Hi! I was wondering if it was safe to put a lion fish together with other fishes?

OUCH!!! That is why I never got one, I always thought that might happen to me.
When it comes to lion fish;
Thought about it,
Laughed about it,
Forgot about it.

tip the bag water down the drain and let him go into the strainer
put him in the tank
use a container to get him out of the tank if need be
