Help with clownfish

I am very new to salt water. I have only had one other salt water tank (almost 4 years ago). The tank finally stablized. I recently purchased to maroon clowns. They are staying mostly at the top of the tank near the fliter (bio-wheel). One seems to move down more often than the other. Can anyone tell me about clownfish behavior? Are my fish ok?

how long have you had them? - if it hasn't been that long (i.e. less than 8 hours or so), don't worry. They won't immediately go through the whole tank - when I got mine, they chilled at the top of the tank for a while, checking everything out, and gradually got more adventurous as they explored more.

I bought 2 tiny little ocellaris clowns a number weeks ago (as in, under an inch), and they just hung out in the corner near the overflow for weeks. They ate fine, but it took them a while to get comfortable to move around the tank. And the sixline wrasse tended to harass them a little. But now, they are quick to beg for food and go where they please. As long as they are eating, I think you'll be ok.

My pair of clowns never went to the other end of our 80 gallon until we added in more fish, but even today they don't venture to the other side much. (they are spawning now too)

Clowns tend to take a home in strange places. Mine did the exact same thing but the Blue cromis tended to bring them out of their shell. Eventually one found the bta while the other 2 were murdered my a Mutant arrow crab.
