I enjoyed my flame angel, never nipped at my corals or clam, but don't have any SPS. It dissapeared from the tank after 6 months, which has happened with a few fish and several shrimp, which I believe (but can not prove) fed my RBTA's

Just give it time, genetics will win out. For example, clownfish are being raised generation after generation in captivity, yet they are still instinctively driven to host in anemones despite they fact that they have never even see one in their lifetime.

Just be sure to post your longterm (years not months) results so the next person can learn from your experience.

what is so bad about a coral getting nipped anyway i mean in the wild there is no glass box to stop the fish feeding on coral

This issue about dwarf angels comes up every 3-6 months.

Most will pick at corals as they would in the wild, if you feed daily and supplement with sponge/ macroalgae you might not have a problem.

I've had a flame before with no problems. depends on the individual if fed well will usually leave alone. also may pick on corals if added after the fish which could cause it to pick on corals that were already in the tank. also may cause other fish in the tank to pick on them as well depending on type of fish you have
