What kind of trap did you use? I've been trying to catch a purple dottyback with water bottle traps with not a lot of luck. I need him gone because he's claimed the lives of two shrimp and two firefish. Maybe more. He's also making my newest goby suicidal...Haha, Sorry, I don't wanna hijack this thread just wanna get this little sucker out!

This is easy I use a plastic container, made few holds to hold the egg crate, then in the opposite end in the middle another hole then pass a fishing line through it then tide to the egg crate, at the same end you make another hole in the button part where you'll pass a tube line where you'll put food trough it And when the fish goes in you pull the string fish line.

Glad you caught him! Nice trap too - I spent $30 for pretty much the same thing from Marine Depot. Unfortunately my evil Cherub Angel would have nothing to do with it...

Indeed happy I got him, you should try to make your own and see what happens , you may get lucky. Try to make sure when you feed the fish in the trap turn your powerhads off so the food stays in the trap and not floating around, so the fish gets force to go to the trap. Chiwing keep on trying

What will you do with the flame angelfish?
FlameAngelfish
P.S.
You can't just get rid of it because it ate coral when you didn't expect it to! You know the rule : Never trust angelfish around coral and sessile inverts. Period. Sorry if I sound strict, but the fact is the fact.

Could you maybe put it in a quarantine tank with a coral and see if he attacks it or not? I'd really like to get a Flame Angel but I'm risk averse. Thoughts?
