any ideas? some have told me I can't have any fish at all, other said gobies are the only ones. i'm also going to have a small clean up crew with some ceriths and BB snails as well as a porcelain crab.

True percs stay small. Check out Joyce D. Wilkerson's book, Clownfishes. It lists the sizes for all breeds.

any other suggestions? clownfish are nice, but I like weird fish. they are a bit too... common for me, not that I don't like them.

pretty much any of the Ecsenius genus of blennies would work. i would prolly stay away from the midas though. they are much more swim happy than the others. they like a bit more room. there are several that will stay less than 2 inches.

in our 8g plan we have the following
anythig but a clown but a small uncommon fish or maybe a damsel
Sifting type of goby
3 hermits
1 snail
Brown plyops
xenia
shrooms
maybe a small frag of a orange cap
about 5 lbs LR
7 lbs sand
and MAYBE a fire shrimp but that one is iffy
It is a 8 (8.9 gallon ) Oceanic bio cube and the ist is still subject to change but might give ya some ideas.

try this guy out I just got one for my 5g and he is pretty cool.
| Red head goby | Priolepis semidoliatus | WA | | **** | Excellent specimen for nano reefs. |
This is the only Pict I could find and it does not do this little guy justice. He hangs upside down a lot and is the fastest feeding fish I have seen other than a frog fish.
