Fish for 6 gal nano reef?

Aside from Rainford Gobies, Clown Gobies, and Royal Grammas, can anyone suggest some fish for a small nano reef tank? The tank is between 5-6 gallons....I don't know for sure. Also, how many fish can we do. (I know that depends on which type.) This tank will be pretty heavily stocked with rock and corals (mostly softies and LPS). We also have a small Aquaclear HOB filter that we've converted to a refugium with Chaeto in it. We're in the peak of our cycle right now, and plan on adding snails and crabs first when the cycle is done.

Thanks for the suggestions!!
Brad

I thought I might need to clarify this......we aren't putting any fish in until after the tank has cycled. I know some people do damsels, but we're not interested in damsels.

I have a small clown fish and a chalk bass in a 5.5 gl tank. I have had the clown for almost 3 yrs and the bass for ~2 yrs. I also have mushrooms, LPS (frogspawn and candy cane), plus some zoos. I don't think I would put more than 2 small fish in a tank that size.

Hey scoop. What type of filtration do you have on your tank? How often do you do water changes? What inverts do you have? I was hoping to possibly have a small clown, so it's nice to hear that someone has been succesful in keeping one. What type is it and what do you feed it?

Thanks for the input,
Brad

Sorry about the slow response. I have a small AquaClear that I only use the sponge in, it's primarily for moving water. I also have a mini-jet 404 for additional circulation. I have 8 lbs live rock, no sand. I do 1 gallon water changes every 2 weeks. I do blast off the rocks w/ a turkey baster every time I do a water change. I think it's a tank raised Percula, it went from under 1 in to almost 2 in since I got it, and it's very protective of its' space. I feed Formula 2 flakes every other day and either formula 2 frozen (very small bite size piece - 1 for ea fish on the off day, or brine shrimp plus frozen) 1 day/wk. The tank is in my daughters room and she loves the clown, its very friendly, always comes to the front, and very colorful.

Brad,

For inverts I have a coral banded shrimp, a pincushion urchin, and about 6 snails.

catalina gobies are a great choice, but you need to keep you tank on the cool side. they do not do well in tanks over 75F
