fish died while driving

i am just curious.. tonight i brought home in a new tupperware container 2 damsels.. We had had these ones for a few months now and knew they were healthy. I had to drive them home which took about 45-1 hour.. i had the air on but I drive a stick shift.. so was trying to keep container as still as possible.. by the time i got one home one was dead.. could it have been from all the shifting of the car?

was the lid on? how much air you leave in?

it was a rather small container.. i left maybe 1 1/2 inches.. actually someone put them in there for me.. The one that died was the smaller one and the bigger on barely had any room but made it and so far so good... i wonder if the container slopped some and wasnt able to get air ? water? i am soo new to this.. kids were bummed..

sound like no air to me...I always use either big container or big zip-lock with plenty of air

Could be that of they could of hurt the other fish when trying to remove him from the tank with the net. One good hit to the fish with a net. Kiss the fish good buy. Or it had no air...
