Have you tried Ghost shrimp? I think they are a Freshwater feeder shrimp that will survive in Saltwater

definately try ghost shrimp. find out when the LFS gets its shipments. that way you can get some of the bigger ones.

some LFS can order the SW versions. or you can acclimate the FW ones to SW, but once the puffer starts eating they will hopefully not be in the tank long enough to need acclimation.

*sigh* Yeah...oh well. It happens. Besides, my true passion are for tangs anyway. I have a scopas in my tank right now but I'm looking to add a friend; perhaps a purple tang (zebrasoma). But I think that may not be a good idea. What I'd really love to have is either a foxface or a butterfly...but I know that neither of them are reef-safe. Oh well.

Foxface not reef safe? Does that depend on the coral that you keep? I have a fat and sassy foxface and he has never picked on either of my pieces of coral. I am fairly new to the SW experience and plan to get more coral. If he is not reef safe it would be great to find out now!!! I am already dealing with issues with a puffer.
