Blind Regal?
I'm battling ich with my Regal tang and fear she may have gone blind? She looks like she wants to eat and joins in the frenzy at feeding time but never seems to actually get anything, just darts all over the place. She's definatly starting to thin out.
What if anything can I do? I feed a mixture of foods, flake / frozen / nori would she be alright on nori souly if I place it in the same spot each time and she can come to depend on it being there?
Regards
Robb

Is she the only fish with ich? How long has she had ich? Does she eat at all? Demonstrate any normal grazing behavior (cruise around the tank nipping at algae)?

She's still young and 3-4" in lenght in a 75 gallon. The only other fish in the tank are a False Perc and a Firefish + inverts, no one seems to be bothering her. There is about 60 lbs of live rock built into two towers so there is alot of swimming room.

She is the only one with ich. She does cruise the tank once in awhile but for the most part stays pretty close to the same area of the tank. The outward signs of ich have receded but I first noticed it about two weeks ago.
I havn't seen her eat in the last 3-4 days. Not sure how long she really hasn't been eating as I mentioned ealier she joins in when the tank is fed darting around trying to get food, but I haven't noticed her actually getting anything into her mouth.

When I first bought my regal tang, it took her about a week before she would eat. During this time, she would swim around and eat algae but never any prepared food. She now goes crazy for sushi nori. She is still very timid and will hide frequently if she notices me. She developed ich as well but it seems to be getting better now that she is eating. I would recommend sushi nori placed near the area that your fish hangs out near and see if she eats it. Sometimes, if you can get them to eat, the ich will go away. Good luck!

Have you tried giving her some seaweed? Nori?? Maybe she doesn't like what you are feeding?

Try soaking the nori in garlic (I use Kent)and feed that in the tank for a few days, that will help her find it and keep her nourished.

Try adding Garlic guard to the food and is your tank grounded?

She isn't a new fish to the tank, I have had her for some time and never had a problem with her eating untill the ich came about. She gets fed frozen / flake and nori and devoured all of them in the past. That why I fear she may have lost her vision as she is out chasing food but never seems to get it in her mouth. I'll try moving food down to where she hangs out and see if that will help.

I'll give the garlic a try, thanks for the advice.
As for the tank being grounded, there is no ground probe for the tank specifically, some of the equipment is grounded through the plug.
