Bimac Anthias

Does anyone have any info on these guys. I saw a thread a while back on RC, but of course I can't find it. I am interested in links and first hand accounts if there are any.

Thanks,
AJ

looked them up in my quick book. they are a fairly deep water anthias. generally found below 40m. taking this into account, they will prolly be very shy in the beginning due to the lighting in the tank. may need to adjust them to reef lighting. maybe use a QT tank that you can gradually increase the lighting in.

unfortunately, i do not have any first hand info for you.

Thanks Geoff. That will get me started. I am still in the research part of the tank build. I am restoring a used tank right now, so I have a bit of time before water and fish are involved. Does your book say how big they get? Are they more like a bartletts or a squarespot?

Thanks again for the help.

they are a lot like bartlets. they both get to about 5.5". go see if you can grab yourself a copy of Scott Michael's reef fishes 1 book. it has a good page writeup on them. most LFS will have it. hopefully you can just borrow it for research purposes. i really suggest getting this book anyway. there really is to much info for me to try and paraphrase for you.
