clarions were once illegal to collect (although abundant where they are caught) there is one collector now based out of san francisco i believe that has a license to grab a few (hence the price tag) from where they are caught to San fran is a very short trip and has nothing to do with price.
Gem tangs on other hand are coming from Mauritius (endemic) and have a very very long travel time, so they are bagged heavy for long transits. This adds up fast on shipping charges! They are actually quite reasonable at divers price....
Dont buy wild caught interruptus! A lot of times they have internal parasites that always kill them. Wait for RCT hawaii to start breeding them again.
