6 line wrasse advise

Help! I think my yellow damsel is beating the #$@! out of my 6 line wrasse. The wrasse has bare patches all over him. Is this normal for damsels? There isn't much in this 20 gal tank...few rocks, clown percula (not a scratch) and a blue damsel (not a scratch).

Thanks in advance

Mike

Damsels are mean........and the clown can hold is own with him but the 6 line might not be able to in the small tank.

You might want to think about getting that damsel out of the tank if you want the 6 line to survive.

Amen to that. Get rid of all your Damsels if you want any other fish in your tank. They are horrible.

Thanks folks! I kinda figured that but I introduced all of them at the same time about 2 1/2 years ago...just recently I've seen the wrasse beatened up.

Oh well, I guess the damsels are going back to the store.

IN the shortrun, you may want to rearrange the rocks you have. The more hiding places the better for the future. ANd I have always been told, "if you want any other fish....don;t get damsels.". I think it is a mental thing, builds their confidence when they have some place to hide, but once they are off their game, they are toast.

In my experience it hasn't really mattered what I do, eventually they just start beating up the other fish again. Funny though the problem I had was my blue damsels beating up my yellow tail damsel. At least they were keeping it in the family.
