does anyone know how to kill xenias.....ive tried moving them out of light, cutting them off, and flipping the rock over to where the are buried in the sand but they just grow back like crazy.

haha dont do that, trim the colony when you need to, attach it to a rock with rubberbands and put it in some water then bring it to your LFS you can probably get some money for it

We have it all our tanks...a field or forest of Xenia looks cool IMO...as mentioned above it is a very aggressive grower and needs to be "pruned" regularly...I either trade it to the LFS of sell it via the local board.

I wish i had that, xenias are one of my favorite corals and mine melted away... Just got another frag for free and put it in lower lighting to see how it does. Anyone know why xenia would melt away like that?

xenia is either dead the day after you buy it or or running away within a month. trade or sell what you can, move what's left to ones side of your tank and let it grow on the glass.
