Xenia or colt

Ive been trying to decide whether I want to get a nice colt or some xenia. I have tried both in my tank with failure. This was before I started dosing my tank with the proper chemicals. Ive been dosing for a while now am not sure what to try my luck with. I like colts better, but xenia has some amazing colors.

What are the pros and cons of each? and what am I going to end up liking more at the end of the day?

Xenia require a really established tank, I had many melt away before I could finally keep any alive...Colt/Kenya have much better survial rate in my opinion

Thats what ive heard and I personally like the look of a colt alot better. I was also looking into maybe a spaghetti leather, but im not sure about leathers. I like them but not sure about how well they would do in my tank. I had a toadstool that a friend gave me and it never opened. I tried all the tricks, removing the slime coat before acclimating, I acclimated for over 3 hours and it just slowly withered away from starvation because it never opened to feed. I know I cant keep sps with the lighting I have but am trying to find some nice lps and softies to keep. What do you recommend?

I have the Nova Extreme? by current usa its not the pro version. It just has the standard single reflector, but it has 2-460 nm actinics at 54w ea. and 2 10kk whites at 54w ea. with a total of 216 watts and about 3.75 watts per gallon.
